Yum, weiners

Over the weekend we went to the U Street corridor to check it out. The real reason of course is to eat at Ben's Chili Bowl. This place is located right across from the metro in it's original location. The place is packed from the front door to the back room. The menu is simple: hot dogs, half-smoked weiners (highly recommended), hamburgers and cheeseburgers all with chili. They also have chili and/or cheese fries. The half-smoked are incredible with the chili - I know I said that already but they are amazing!

Here is where they cook those half-smoked and regular weiners. They all have the dark spots which bring out that really great flavor. Um, together with the chil it's wonderful.
